Cerebral palsy is a lifelong condition and the learning of skills is frequently deemed to be time limited. At NICE we want to be a part of the journey through adulthood for people with cerebral palsy.

Lack of activity can lead to loss of movement skills, skills the person worked hard to gain. It can also lead to future health problems and loss in independence and more importantly confidence.

At NICE we believe that every person has the right to specialised services throughout their journey. Services which are focussed on maintaining and improving their quality of life; services which continue to teach the person to explore their movements. People with cerebral palsy need time to learn skills, teaching to adapt skills to a changing body and the belief that they can always learn something new.

Our maintenance programmes provide a structured approach to preventing long term health problems and enabling people with cerebral palsy to life active lives.
